Product Description

The Bently Nevada 3500/42M is a four-channel monitor designed to protect industrial machinery by continuously comparing measurements against programmed alarm setpoints. When measurements exceed these limits, the monitor triggers alarms to warn operators of potential problems and shares essential machine information with both operations and maintenance personnel.

The monitor accepts input from proximity and seismic transducers to measure machine vibration and position. It conditions these input signals to provide accurate readings for various parameters and compares them with user-programmable alarms to determine if the machine is operating within safe limits.

The 3500/42M can be programmed using 3500 Rack Configuration Software to monitor multiple machine conditions including:

Radial vibration
Thrust position
Differential expansion
Shaft absolute vibration
Eccentricity
Acceleration

Each channel conditions its input signal to generate static values, and users can configure alert setpoints for every active static value. For enhanced safety, danger setpoints can be set for any two of the active static values to provide multiple levels of protection.
