This distributed monitoring system is built from modular products for machine protection and condition monitoring. The modules can be placed directly on equipment to reduce wiring, as they are rated for harsh settings like high temperatures and explosive areas. It works with existing rack-based systems and runs on the same software.

One type of module offers two vibration channels and one extra channel that can act as a tachometer or DC input. It can function on its own or be combined with other modules to create a larger setup. Small modules are connected in networked groups to deliver the same features as traditional rack systems.

A system is made up of one or more groups, each holding up to sixteen modules, a power supply, and an optional computer. Each module clips onto a base that stores its settings and allows for hot-swapping. Different parts can be mixed to build a setup that fits the exact needs of an application.
